English Pewter Company are rightly proud of all of our wonderful pewter quaich bowls and this Celtic style quaich is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and stylish examples within our extensive range. The quaich features two beautiful Celtic style handles along with an intricate and stylish Rampant Lion design pewter disc on the inside of the bowl itself, giving the quaich its striking appearance. In addition there is a striking Celtic knotwork band that runs around the body of the bowl. The history of the Quaich dates back centuries and is commonly known as the Scottish "Cup Of Welcome", whereby visitors would be welcomed with whisky and drink from each side of the bowl. Today it is used as a commemorative gift for weddings, prize givings and a whole host of celebrations, particularly for those with Scottish heritage. Perfect for the addition of a personalised message through our expert engraving service should you require. This particular bowl measures 3.5" or 90mm in diameter (excluding handles). Each quaich is elegantly supplied in our exclusive cream and black Scottish Piper gift boxes as shown.
